Momma’s Home is a natural skincare company. Although Momma’s Home has been in business for ten years, they were struggling to overcome the perception that their products were not serious skincare – and their logo, website, and product copy weren’t helping matters.
Because many customers have skin sensitivities, it’s crucial that their website provides as much information as possible regarding ingredients, conveyed in a conversational tone reflective of the owner’s personality.
Partnering with a designer, we tore the brand apart. A new logo reflected their stance regarding natural ingredients, a tag line, “No one cares like Momma,” was created, and a color pallet of organic and soothing colors was developed. A mission statement detailing the company’s platform of respect for “People, Planet, and Principles” was developed.
New SEO copy was written for every product, including new names for many. The Ecwid store has a product page for each item containing the product name, ingredients, use instructions, copy that describes the product, additional information regarding ingredients, or a bit of fun background. The goal was to give the buyer as much information as possible to help them become better educated and answer any questions regarding the product.
A monthly blog, “Sounds Scary,” explains the chemistry behind scary-sounding ingredients, and regular emails announcing new products or sales are sent using MailChimp.
